Driven by an innate passion for storytelling, especially the untold stories of underrepresented communities, Stewart has forged a new career path in the film and TV industry. As the Executive Producer and Managing Director of Create Anything, he has received recognition for his pioneering work on the documentary 'Black and Scottish (BBC)," which earned two Bafta nominations. Through his leadership and activism, Stewart has played a pivotal role in transforming Create Anything into a leading Scottish production company, specialising in scripted and unscripted content for major broadcasters such as Amazon, BBC, and Channel 4.
Stewart's impressive portfolio encompasses the drama 'The Wedding' as Exec/Director (BBC), 'Anansi Boys' as Director/Producer (Amazon), and 'Four Kings' Series Director (Amazon), among others.
Activism & Outreach
Stewart has also been a vocal advocate for the BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) community, making frequent appearances on BBC Radio, BBC CDX, and as a panellist at numerous networking events. In 2020, the BBC recognised him as a Future Figure 2021 alongside notable individuals such as Sir Lewis Hamilton and Olympian Alice Dearing.
As the Managing Director of 'Re:frame,' a diverse talent pool for TV and film, Stewart has provided a platform for underrepresented creatives behind the camera to work with major production companies, including Amazon, Channel 4, and the BBC. His commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the industry is a testament to his unwavering dedication to storytelling that accurately reflects the world we live in.
