This is the story of a young boy who found hope and inspiration in a country where there is very little, the story of a young boy who chose to pick up a cricket bat, instead of a Kalashnikov and the story of a now international superstar and soon-to-be cricket legend.
Rashid’s choice of peace has today inspired millions across the globe to follow suite, providing hope and someone to hopeful of in one of the most war-torn areas of the world.
In this unique and access led docu-series we will explore the mind of one of cricket’s greatest sporting hero’s.
From understanding the inspiration and guidance of a woman (Rashid’s Mother) in the hardcore Taliban era where women themselves were never allowed to choose anything freely, to the struggle of playing sport itself in a country where Taliban had destroyed all sports infrastructure, the story of Rashid Khan portrays a character rising as a phoenix against all odds.
